Roma Dominates Brighton in Europa League Round of 16 First Leg

Impressive Performance Leads to Resounding Victory

Dybala and Lukaku Shine in 4-0 Triumph

In a captivating first leg of the Europa League Round of 16, Italian giants AS Roma put on a dominant display to secure a resounding 4-0 victory over English Premier League side Brighton Hove Albion on Thursday.

Roma took an early lead in the 12th minute when Argentine maestro Paulo Dybala found the back of the net. The hosts continued to pile on the pressure throughout the first half, and just before halftime, Romelu Lukaku doubled Roma's advantage with a clinical finish in the 43rd minute.

After the break, Roma maintained their dominance, preventing Brighton from creating any significant chances. The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute when defender Lewis Dunk received a second yellow card. Roma capitalized on their numerical advantage and extended their lead in the 72nd minute with a goal from Stephan El Shaarawy.

In the dying minutes of the match, Andrea Belotti sealed Roma's emphatic victory with a fourth goal in the 89th minute. The result puts Roma in an extremely strong position heading into the second leg in England next week.

Roma's victory was a testament to the team's attacking prowess and defensive solidity. Dybala and Lukaku were in fine form, while the entire backline played exceptionally well to keep Brighton at bay.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi will have his work cut out for him in the second leg, as Roma will enter the match with a comfortable four-goal advantage.
